Ok, how in the world does she always get better?!? This 2nd generation story is just what the doctor ordered! Jaxon and Ariella are both big personalities in their parents stories. We meet them again, all grown up, and doing life. They are both successful, Jaxon following in his dads footsteps becoming a hockey legend and Ariella working with her mom marketing within the hockey world. Their story seemed quick and full of love. Jaxon doesn't bat an eye when she comes to him and needs his support. These two really just held my heart and I loved watching them grow as a couple. Jaxon gives us the alpha strong man, while also just being a teddy bear. Seeing some of our favorites from prior books is also a perk of reading about our second generation. I hope to see so much more from our favorites families.

I enjoyed this cute little story. Two souls who needed each other and met at the right time. We go on a trip with their hearts as they navigate life and finding themselves. This was a sweet story and I am so thankful to have found Kaylene Winter. I hope to read her again soon.

Oh how I love everything about these people and this little town. Caleb is adorable and as much as he kinda fights it, his pull towards Sierra can't be stopped. Sierra doesn't want to lean on anyone while she is going through this trauma at 25 years old, trying to figure out who she is and why she is now just learning where she came from. But Caleb becomes someone she leans on, someone she trusts, and someone she can talk through her troubles with. This was such a cute story.

Review:

Soooo this one hit a little hard. The build up to this story was amazing, I couldn't wait for this story. Penn's side yes I loved, but I didn't connect with Mila. Not sure really why but she just didn't connect with me. The whole story is a great lesson, people are mean, people don't treat each other right, and things happen. I love this group of guys, I love that they rallied behind Penn even though he had been standoffish and really rude to this whole time. This group is so wonderful.

Knox and Corie's story is enjoyable. Knox has unknowingly fallen for his best friend's little sister. Corie kinda snuck up on him. He wasn't looking for anything but there she is, adorable and accepting of him. Corie has finished college and moves home to find her person. I enjoyed watching these two develop from friends to more. I am impatiently waiting for more.
